LinkHound Lite
Simple but POWERFUL
LinkHound Beta
Advanced …Technically.
What is LinkHound??
LinkHound is a browser extension project developed by women and creators, for women and creators. We designed our UI workflow to accomodate intelligent creators who prefer to have control over their own DMCA reports and may not fully trust takedown services.
We have two free versions in development:
LinkHound Lite is designed for users who handle their DMCA complaints casually, and don’t spend a ton of time on it.
LinkHound Beta is for our power users who grasp new software technologies easily and want a toolkit with advanced functionality.
When We Say Free, We Actually MEAN FREE
Not “freemium.”
FREE.
And it will be the same free next year and the year after. We will not sell your informaiton for profit. We will not surprise you with paywalls. We will not force you into a subscription you don’t want by taking away features that we’ve already given to you.
In the event that we DO have to paywall something, we will always give you fair warning and tell you exactly why. But it will take something extreme to make us take something away from you (certain feature will have to rely on API access and starts charging $1k a month, bridge trolls threatening the safety of our users, cataclysmic catastrophe, etc.

What You May Be Wondering (FAQs)..
What types of features Does LinkHound Lite have?
This software has a built-in page-scanner and detects sites that rely on search engine abuse, malware and impersonation. This includes multiple subdomains, and back-button, UI or right-click hijacking.
How is LinkHound Beta Different Than LinkHound Lite?
LinkHound Beta is a version open to all, but access is granted when we are able to verify you through trust signals. No, we don’t mean we need to look at all of your private data, a driver’s license or invade your privacy.
What are trust signals?
We will never ask a user for their private information or demand that a user provide us with more information than they are comfortable. This isn’t a traditional system. We can authenticate users in a way that works for THEM. This might be subreddits you’ve already been verified on, social media accounts that are monetized or a .gov email address.
Why do you need this information?
Welp. Free stuff attracts weirdos and the last thing we want is for your safety (or ours!) to be compromised at the hands of some basement dwelling incel who intends to harm you more than you’ve already been harmed. Chances are if you need LinkHound or takedown services you have already been impersonated. We will not contribute to giving these trolls easier access to you or leaked content.
What is your privacy policy?
The less information we collect from you, the better it is for you and the better it is for us. We will not be using any 3rd party APIs for our browser extension. Nor will we be able to see anything that you do through our extension. You may choose to store your user data in the app, or you can have it clear out the second you close your browser. Check the privacy section for more info. <3
Community feedback: ❤️
Just like any decent product, we will need feedback. The only prompts you might see from us are requests for suggestions.
We are reliant on our community providing information to us voluntarily including bug reports, user experience, incorrect data or product suggestions.
We incentivize active involvement.
Incentivized Beta Testing?!

Yes! Since we aren’t profiting off of this in any way, and we aren’t collecting information from users, our incentives will be app-based. For example, we will permit beta access, free lifetime service to our sister software suite. It is a completely separate program, under a completely different name and will release in September. It will be a paid service – it uses some 3rd party APIs and requires more maintenance, so it will be a paid version. It will not, however, limit the functionality of LinkHound in any way.
Beta Tester Benefits
Benefits for our beta testers vary. The reason we incentivize it, is because we are developing a privacy-first software.
Our advanced features have more potential for abuse than our lite version. That is why access to beta is considered a benefit, and only available to limited pool of approved users.
That said, beta testers will also be granted access to our GitHub repo.
You may also be eligible for lifetime access or credits for our software suite. The suite is a completely separaet service under a totally different name that will release in September of 2026.
LinkHound Lite vs LinkHound Beta
The shortest answer to the question everyone is asking is that LinkHound Beta’s features are more advanced. It’s still free, but requires vetting. We don’t care what crimes you’ve committed in the past, what your job is, who your grandmother is or where you live.
What we DO care about is that you aren’t attempting to gain access to the program for malicious purposes or to weaponize it.
Comparison at a glance

The most important differences to note between LinkHound Lite and Beta is that LinkHound Beta will have an email generator; be able to hold up to 3 reports at a time, plus have a file uploader and a feature that will remove any duplicates from the links that the hound fetches.
The email generator pulls the information from a tab titled “User Info” where you can enter your Stage Name, email and any other info you typically include in your notices. You can choose how long to store your information
We’re still ironing out some kinks with the UI, but expect to have an update in a few days.
LinkHound in Action:
Our prototype is a pretty accurate description of the product, with a few minor UI issues that we will be resolving over the next week and a half, prior to release.
Privacy FIRST, Always
We don’t want to collect more information than we have to from inside of the app. The majority of websites you visit will use tracking cookies that can tell the site admins just about anything they could want to know. It could be your gender, preferred device, what social media apps you use, what websites you visit, where you’re located, even extremely personal details like who your doctor is or when you last took your pet to the vet.
We will always be transparent about how any information is used and if it is tied directly to you.
How We Collect & Store User Data
We do not collect any information on our users or store it unless they explicitly give us permission and it’s a requirement for the functionality of the app. Otherwise, the only information that you enter into the app is stored locally on your device. It doesn’t report back to us about what sites you visited, what links you’ve pulled, what your search history is, etc.
We are not interested in invading your privacy.
Local Storage only
Your user data is not tracked by us.
Any information you provide about bugs, feature requests and suggestions is voluntary and can be submitted completely anonymously. We are VERY appreciative of any feedback whether it’s positive or negative.
3rd party api’s
We are avoiding using any 3rd party APIs for the time being in order to strengthen user privacy.
Why LinkHound Values Privacy
We understand and agree: the amount of information businesses collect on people is excessive. Furthermore, if people are using LinkHound or trying to get content removed, it’s more than likely they have already been violated in some way.
We have no desire to make demands for info from people who are already vulnerable; and do not wish to pressure people into doing anything they aren’t comfortable with just so they can use a simple browser extension.
How to Sign Up For LinkHound’s Closed Beta – The Web of Trust

As we mentioned above, we use a Web of Trust framework. We have quite a few methods that you can use. These are some examples of how you might verify.
So, ya know that big following you have on TikTok, LinkedIn or X?
Hypothetically, you can still compartmentalize your IRL identity and online persona, because your online identity is what matters to us.
In theory, if you’re trying to remove NCII or other content, then it’s because you’re already known – whether that’s on X, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, YouTube – then you’ll have a following that trusts you.
Invitations & Referrals
If you’re invited by a dev or admin, you can skip. If you are invited by a trusted tester, you may also be able to skip.
high authority domains
.gov, edu, .mil, int .ca, .co.uk, .org.uk, .de, or .au emails or websites. If you have a website or email that ends in .dev, .io or .app and a normal who.is, you’re cleared.
domains with reputable backlinks
If you have a website, and it’s reasonably old and we can see that other trusted websites trust you, then we will consider whether or not it will qualify as verification.
Emoji Verification
We may ask you to put a sequence of 3-5 emojis in an account bio. We like this method because it doesn’t require a photo ID, excessive collection of your private info or linking an account to any other services that you use. You can use emoji verification in a social media profile, DMs, content creator account, link-in-bio tool.. anything to prove that you in fact have an online reputation to protect.
subreddit verifications
If you’ve been verified in at least two active subreddits, we will accept it as confirmation that you’re real. If you’re approved by a network like LetsVerify, we will accept that on its own. We are familiar with that process. We will also run you through
LinkedIn verification
Since we know some users are coming from LinkedIn – if you have a profile with endorsements, a verified account, a reasonably sized following, your resume is updated – then we would be happy to use that as well.
other
Eligible Social Media & Email

Because we are creating a software that combats hackers and malicious basement dwellers, we have to take extra safety precautions. We do not want to risk our own online safety, the safety of our users or the health and reputation of our app.
We don’t care what crimes you’ve committed or if you’re a saint irl..
We will allow access as long as we can see you are a real human behind the screen, and you aren’t caught up in questionable online ativities (like.. ya know, piracy, copyright infringement or NCII – the things we are actively combating.)
We don’t care about political views, religion, your family background, creator drama or who you are irl.. we are a neutral provider in that regard. We do, however, feel strongly about people misusing our app.
If we can see that you are who you say you are, then we will get you approved for closed beta!
Please allow us at least 3-5 days to get back to you – our team is small. 🙂
